India’s future will be shaped by the dreams, ideas and participation of its young people.
Why it is worth the afternoon
-
Ask, in the room
Put your question directly to the person who decides — not to a form, and not to a comment thread.
-
Put an idea on the record
Every YUVANITI dialogue is documented, and what is said is carried to the ministries and institutions in the room.
-
Meet the rest of the room
Past editions brought together over 500 young people from more than 30 institutions across Lucknow.
-
See what happens next
A dialogue that ends at the door is a lecture. This one ends in takeaways someone has to answer for.
What this dialogue is
On the International Day of Democracy, Episode 03 brings young people, policymakers and practitioners into one room for a working conversation on governance, social development and civic participation.
You come to ask a question, put a perspective on the record, and leave with an idea that goes further than the room. Seats are limited and participation is selection-based, which is what keeps the room small enough for everyone in it to speak.
What is on the table
- Governance
- Building more responsive and transparent systems.
- Social development
- Creating opportunities that reach everyone.
- Civic participation
- From awareness to action.
It is for you if you want to
- understand how policy is actually made
- say what you think, to someone who can act on it
- learn from people doing the work rather than describing it
- find peers who take this as seriously as you do
- be part of how Uttar Pradesh grows from here
In conversation with

Shri Asim Arun
- Minister of State (Independent Charge), Social Welfare and SC/ST Welfare
- Government of Uttar Pradesh
- Former IPS officer
A public servant and former IPS officer, Shri Asim Arun has led work in social welfare, inclusive development and citizen engagement. Episode 03 puts young people in direct conversation with someone shaping that policy on the ground.
Democracy is strongest when young people not only speak, but also participate, question and collaborate.
From the last two editions
Two editions, over 500 young people, more than 30 institutions. This is what the room looks like.
